Ex-notary who helped to illegally take children out of Kyrgyzstan detained

Former notary was detained in Jalal-Abad region on February 8 for illegal issue of documents. Investigators established his involvement in the illegal removal of minors from Kyrgyzstan. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

«During a search in the house of the suspect, 233 blank forms of notarial documents, 13 forms with official seals of private notaries, one blank sheet with the official seal, 17 power of attorney forms with an imprint of the seal of private notaries, as well as money — 526,000 soms and $2,500, two printers, official seal of one of the private notaries, as well as receipts for money transfers were found and confiscated,» the statement says.

The investigators also established the involvement of individual employees of air ticket offices, Bar association and private notaries in a criminal scheme of illegal execution and issuance of notarial documents for obtaining foreign passports and subsequent transportation of minor children outside Kyrgyzstan without parental consent. The investigation is ongoing.
